RESONANCE: A Religious Studies Journal asks for your papers to be included in our inaugural annual journal for the 2016 theme “Religion and the Other.” We are seeking papers that explore the boundaries of “mainstream” and “marginal” religion, papers that confront ideas of identity, diversity, and normativity, as well as question the presence of those items historically and modernly. Some questions we hope this year’s journal will answer are: How are definitions of religion constructed? In What ways are these definitions exclusionary? What socio-economic, historical, racial, and gender-biases do current definitions of religion evoke? In what ways do societal understandings of “right” and “wrong” or “good” and “bad” influence what we deem as authentic religion?

To accommodate additional submissions for this journal the submission deadline has been extended to 16 September 2016. To submit a paper or film/book review please go visit the Authors page.

RESONANCE will be announcing its new theme for the 2016-2017 school year in September.
